The Executive Director of the Solano Community College Educational Foundation is Mr. Curt Johnston.
Curt joined the Foundation in August 2012 following a thirty-year career in California municipal planning, redevelopment, economic development and public real estate. His career included 22 years at the City of Fairfield. He is a past member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional.
Mr. Johnston is active in the community as a member of the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club, past ambassador for the Vallejo and the Fairfield-Suisun Chambers of Commerce Chamber of Commerce, and past member of the the Fairfield Redevelopment Oversight Board.
Curt grew up in Vacaville and attended Solano Community College. He transferred to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he received his Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning. In his private life, Curt has been an active volunteer in Solano County for nearly 35 years. He has been married to his wife Debbie since 1979 and they have four adult sons.
