How to Give Now
The Solano Community College Educational Foundation offers many ways to make a gift to support SCC students and programs.
By Mail: Please send your check made payable to the Solano Community College Educational Foundation (or SCCEF) to:
Solano Community College Educational Foundation
4000 Suisun Valley Road, Room 145
Fairfield, CA 94534
*Please indicate your gift designation on the check, otherwise your contribution will be directed to the area of greatest need.
Phone or Come to Our Office: You can visit us at the Foundation office at the above address – we’re located in the Library on the Fairfield campus, Room 145. We accept credit or debit card payments in the office or over the phone at (707) 864-7177.
Recurring Credit Card Donations: To make a recurring gift automatically deducted from your credit card, please contact Curt Johnston at (707) 864-7141 or email email@example.com to set it up.
Donating directly from an IRA (For those 70.5 or older): Congress has made permanent the provision that allowed individuals to donate directly from an IRA to satisfy all or part of a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). This is an excellent opportunity to fund a scholarship or donate otherwise to Solano Community College and reduce taxable income. Any donation up to $100,000 qualifies. Consult your financial institution and accountant prior to moving ahead with this attractive option.
Pledge Your Gift: Pledging provides the opportunity to contribute your gift over time and at a higher level. Payments can be made by cash, credit card, securities or other assets over a period of three to five years. Donors receive pledge reminders and confirmation of gifts received. To make a pledge, please fill out and return the SCCEF Pledge Form.
Matching Gifts: Your employer may have a program that will match your charitable contribution to SCCEF. Check with your Human Resources department to see if this is an option in your workplace.
In-Kind Donations: SCCEF accepts gifts of tangible personal property, such as art, equipment, instruments, and other education related items that have value to the College. Specific IRS reporting requirements and District policies determine gift acceptance. Please complete the Gift In Kind form, and contact Curt Johnston at (707) 864-7141 or email firstname.lastname@example.org about your gift.
SCC Payroll Deduction: Solano Community College employees may choose to support a particular program or scholarship. For more information, please contact Curt Johnston at (707) 864-7141 or email email@example.com. To enroll, download the SCC Payroll Deduction Form, then return it to the Educational Foundation office.
