About Us

The SCC Educational Foundation was established in 1985 to raise funds to support students and educational excellence at Solano Community College, and to help carry out the vision of “Transforming Students’ Lives.” Our efforts are focused on helping students achieve their education goals, but we’re also building a stronger community. An educated workforce is the foundation of every community. SCC provides the postsecondary education and training our citizens need to obtain quality jobs. The results are measured by lower unemployment rates, stable employment for our citizens, and enhanced quality of life for all.

We are proud that the College we support is becoming an elite community college in California in science and technology fields. Solano Community College is one of just 15 community colleges in California to be awarded a Bachelor’s Degree program, and the quality of our STEM programs have attracted multiple grant awards from the National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Education. In addition, the College has over $100 Million in new construction planned, most of which is for science and technology programs.

SCCEF is an independent 501(c)(3) California nonprofit public benefit corporation under the direction of a board of directors, managed by an executive director, and operating out of College offices.
